Job Description:
The
Madison Mallards and
Night Mares are seeking a Videoboard Operator/In-Stadium Graphic Design. The intern will serve under the supervision of the video production manager and Marketing Director. This individual will work closely with both marketing interns and broadcast interns in creating a top tier in stadium fan experience through motion graphics and videoboard content.

- Learn and operate our videoboard for both Mallards & Night Mares home games
- Work closely with the marketing and media teams to create visual narratives that enhance the fan engagement.
- Design player cards for all home and visiting players
- Assist in media day planning and execution
- Contribute to real-time content production on gamedays
- Assist the marketing team with game day scripts
Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Suites or other graphic/video editing software
- Preferred background in operating videoboard software
- Must be a creative thinker and do well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to problem solve
- Professional attitude when interacting with clients, fans and Mallards/Night Mares staff
- Upbeat and fun personality
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
About the Madison Mallards & Madison Night Mares:
The Mallards are one of the largest and most successful summer collegiate baseball teams in the nation attracting more than 200,000 fans each summer. The Night Mares debuted in 2024 as an inaugural Northwoods League Softball team. In just one year, they became the highest attended summer collegiate softball team and look to continue to grow in year three. The Mallards & Night Mares annually hire more than 20 intern positions for the season, who may also have the opportunity to gain experience at other Madison based teams & events throughout the summer. Many of our full-time staff completed an internship or seasonal position with us prior to their full-time employment. Former interns have gone on to work for the Carolina Panthers, Milwaukee Brewers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Green Bay Packers, and various minor league and summer collegiate league teams across the nation.
It is recommended, but not required, for our internships to go towards college credits. All Interns will be required to participate in weekly sports management workshops and external community baseball clinics.
