JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales & Events Intern supports the Manager of Sales & Events in the planning, coordination, and execution of private events, public programming, and revenue-generating experiences at the Utah Mammoth Practice & Training Facility. Reporting to the Manager of Sales & Events and working closely with the Director of Sales & Experience, this role provides hands-on support to sales operations, event planning, client service, and cross-functional collaboration within a professional sports and entertainment organization. This internship is ideal for individuals pursuing careers in sports business, event management, hospitality, or sales who want real-world experience in a fast-paced, premium venue environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the daily operations of the Sales & Events team, assisting the Manager of Sales & Events with sales coordination, event planning, and administrative needs.
  • Partner with the Manager of Sales & Events and Director of Sales & Experience to identify, track, and advance event leads, maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting.
  • Assist with proposal development, deck creation, and creative materials for private events, hospitality offerings, and sales presentations.
  • Support lead generation efforts through research and organization of local, regional, and national prospects for private events and facility rentals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support sales campaigns, event promotions, and guest communications related to public and private events.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing events, including on-site support to ensure seamless operations and a high-quality guest experience.
  • Participate in networking events and facility activations, supporting relationship-building efforts and representing the Utah Mammoth Ice Center professionally.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects with attention to detail, a team-first mindset, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed to support overall team success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Creative and assertive communication skills.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule as sports and entertainment events may require, including extended days and hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Willing to provide own vehicle for transportation on event days.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening.
  • Creative competencies in Canva is a plus!

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
