College World Series of Omaha, Inc. (CWS, Inc.) is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the Community Engagement
Summer Internship for the 2026 NCAA® Men’s College World Series®
. CWS, Inc. is a non-profit organization incorporated
in 1967, and the local organizing committee of the Men’s College World Series.
This is an internship opportunity for college students and recent graduates to help gain work experience in this field. The
2026 NCAA® Men’s College World Series® will take place June 12-21/22, with the Open Practice Day being held on
Thursday, June 11. This position starts on Monday, May 4 and ends Tuesday, June 23.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the volunteer program, Fan Fest and Open Practice Day events alongside the Operations and Events
Manager
- Assist with on-site activations for community engagement and/or corporate partners
- Communicate and assist volunteers and fans with ticketing, parking and other event matters via phone, email,
and virtual assistant platforms
- Explore new opportunities for engaging fan experiences and initiatives to increase ancillary event attendance
- Collaborate with CWS, Inc., NCAA, and Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority (MECA) for game
operations, promotions, and marketing purposes
- Work with CWS, Inc. Staff in the office and on-site leading up to and during the event
- Participate in Fan Fest, Open Practice Day, Game Presentation and Marketing planning meetings and calls
- Collaborate with CWS, Inc. Staff and Digital and Social Media Intern on creative content for CWS, Inc., social
platforms
- Execute projects, assignments, general administrative duties, and other duties as assigned by the staff
Qualifications:
- On track to receive, or recently received, a degree in a related field (Communications, Business, Marketing, etc.)
plus relevant work experience
- Excellent written and organizational skills
- Effective communicator with an eye for new opportunities (contributes ideas and different perspectives)
- Ability to adapt, multi-task and work as a team under tight deadlines
- Ability to analyze, problem solve and provide recommended solutions
- Willingness to work outside of traditional business hours
- Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) is a plus
Compensation: $16.50 per hour (Paid hourly on a biweekly basis.)
This internship is intended for upperclassmen or graduate students looking to gain non-profit, community engagement,
or sports industry work experience. You will be required to relocate to Omaha, NE for the duration of the internship.
Room and board are not offered as part of the position. CWS, Inc. staff will work with the selected applicant to find
housing, if necessary.
