STATUS:                Internship, Unpaid, Onsite

SUMMARY: This is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in a career in Sponsorship/Partnerships Fulfillment. The intern will observe, learn, and develop the skills necessary to explore career opportunities in the chosen field. The Partnerships Activation & Fulfillment Intern will assist with the implementation and fulfillment of sponsorship benefits for all Orange Bowl Festival Events. An individual may qualify for college credit if their college/university allows it. This position is an unpaid internship. 

LEARNING EXPERIENCEIntern will learn and be exposed to:

  • Inner workings of major non-profit sports and event organizations and how they relate to the community.
  • Learning basic fundamentals such as coordination and execution of sponsor deliverables during festival events.
  • Ability to execute sponsorship tasks by working closely with and attending various activities and business-related forums
  • Learn about departmental processes needed to ensure that sponsor deliverables are being accurately represented.
  • Gain knowledge through research, presentation, and management of annual plans, budgets, purchases, and expenses of pertinent sponsor information.
  • Acquire knowledge through the coordination and development of sponsorship activities and events, including event program ads, in–event video spots, signage, décor, gifts, and donated products.
  • Participation in the coordination of the OBC’s events and promotions, such as but not limited to:
    • Orange Bowl Florida High School Football Showcase 
    • Orange Bowl Florida High School Basketball Showcase 
    • GA Telesis Orange Bowl Golf Tournament Presented by First Horizon
    • Orange Bowl Leadership Academy Program 
    • Orange Bowl Food & Wine Celebration presented by Florida Blue

 PREREQUISITES

  • Pursuing a degree and/or career in Sports Management, Public Administration, or a related field 
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Publisher, and typing skills
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
  • Valid Driver’s License


Note:Preferred commitment of a minimum of 20-40 hours a week, consistent with academic demands/schedule.  
**NOTE:  The OBC performs background screenings and drug testing as part of its pre-employment hiring process.**
