The Internship Position
The Minot Hot Tots / Honeybees are looking for a Broadcast Camera Director & Video Creation intern to join their team in Minot, North Dakota, for the 2027 season. As a Broadcast Camera Director intern, you will be directly involved in the live broadcast of all Minot Hot Tots / Honeybees games.
The Broadcast Camera Director intern may serve as a Minot representative at various promotions, events, and Minot games.
Start Date: May 10th, 2027
End Date: August 13th, 2027
Academic Qualifications: Applicants should be studying a subject in a relevant field. This may include, but is not limited to, Video Production, Sport Management, Broadcasting, Journalism, Marketing and Communications.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as the Camera Director (or Director/Technical Director) on the broadcast team for all 36 Hot Tots and 21 Honeybees home games. The team is made up of 3 Camera Operators, 1 Camera Director, 1 Technical PC Director, and 1 Broadcaster.
- The Camera Director is responsible for choosing and switching camera shots during the game.
- The Camera Director is responsible for vocally leading the Camera Operators into getting clean and consistent broadcast shots during the game.
- The Camera Director works closely with the Technical PC Director and Broadcaster to produce a clean and consistent broadcast.
- The Camera Director is responsible for assisting the camera operators in setting up cameras prior to the game and taking down cameras after the game.

- Create graphic and video content for Hot Tots / Honeybees video board.
- Create graphic and video content for Hot Tots / Honeybees social media.
- Assist with managing video board equipment.
- Assist with photo editing, uploading, and labeling.
- Maintain proper care of broadcast equipment.
- Represent the team at various events and participate in other outside, community events and mascot appearances, as defined by the team.
- Promote a positive fan experience by interacting with our fans in all areas of the ballpark.
General Team Responsibilities
- Game and Team Event Availability: Expected to be available for all Minot Hot Tots / Honeybees home games and team events; this includes weekends and holidays.
- Game Day and Event Hours: Expected to be available from mid to late morning through the end of the game and/or event. The schedule will be decided by the direct supervisor on a home-stand and event basis.
- Non-Game Day/Event Hours: Expected to attend office hours of 9 AM-5 PM each weekday.
- Assist with distribution of team pocket schedules, posters, and other marketing materials throughout the stadium and community.
- Assist with ballpark set-up and tear-down before-the-season, after-the-season and during each homestand.
- Assist with Family Fun Zone set-up and tear-down.
- Maintain ballpark cleanliness including but not limited to: cleaning tables, chairs, Family Fun Zone area, etc.
- Every intern will be required to perform as the mascot at least once during the summer.
- All other duties as assigned by Minot front office staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Previous internship or job in live sports production preferred
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, InDesign, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom)
- Experience posting to social media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn
- The ability to work extended hours upwards of 14 hours and lift 30-50 lbs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be a team player with strong leadership and communication skills
- Must be enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have a positive “can‐do” attitude
- Ability to multi‐task and handle responsibility
- Self‐ motivated and ability to take initiative

Reports To: Marketing & Media Manager
Stipend: $500 monthly stipend
Housing: Housing available upon request. Intern will be responsible for utilities.
Credit: College credit towards a major, minor, or general elective may be earned.
