Marketing and Promotions Intern
The Bristol Blues are a summer season collegiate baseball team. We are members of the New England Collegiate Baseball league, and play a 22 home game season out of historic Muzzy Field in Bristol, Connecticut. Since the organization’s conception in 2015, we have achieved three championship appearances, three semi-final appearances and one quarter final appearance. We pride ourselves on providing a fun, affordable night out for fans of all ages paired with high quality baseball. It is our goal to provide interns with a valuable learning experience where they will receive exposure in every part of the organization.

You will receive experience and understanding in:
  • Sport entertainment marketing
  • Budget management 
  • Promotions planning
  • Planning and execution of events from start to finish
You will be responsible for:
  • Assist with the planning, marketing, and execution of promotional nights from start to finish
  • Take ownership of assigned promotional nights and projects throughout the season
  • Help oversee Game Day Operations interns working on marketing and promotional initiatives
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to Bristol-area businesses, schools, camps, youth organizations, and community groups
  • Identify and target prospective fans, groups, and community partners for promotional nights
  • Work directly with the Social Media team to develop and communicate marketing initiatives
  • Assist with tracking promotional-night attendance, participation, and revenue
  • Help coordinate promotional materials, giveaways, contests, and in-game fan engagement
  • Communicate with internal staff, community partners, and prospective groups in a professional manner
  • Assist the GM and Assistant GMs with additional marketing and organizational projects as needed
Start and End Date:
This position will begin as a remote position on April 1st. The time commitment will be approximately 3-5 hours per week. Intern will have a vital role in promotional night planning alongside GM and Assistant GM’s.
By the end of your internship, we expect that you will have a deeper understanding of sport marketing and promotional night planning. It is our goal for our candidates to receive hands-on experience and have a direct impact in Blues organizational success. If an intern fulfills an internship requirement part way through the season, they are required to stay until the end of the season.
