POSITION(S): 2027 Summer CGA (Golf) – Communication & Media Internship – 3-Month | 1 Position Available

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
This internship focuses primarily on gathering content for association activities distributed through multiple communication channels. This person must demonstrate organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and knowledge and experience in golf.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This internship focuses primarily on gathering content for association activities distributed through multiple communication channels. This person must demonstrate organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and knowledge and experience in golf.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write tournament recaps, CGA program features, website stories, and other editorial content as assigned.
- Assist the Communications team with on-site coverage of CGA championships, qualifiers, Member Play Days, and other events, including photo and video capture.
- Create and edit short-form video and other social-first content for CGA digital platforms.
- Assist with day-to-day content creation and management across CGA social media channels.
- Conduct interviews with golfers, champions, members, caddies, and others throughout the Colorado golf community.
- Identify and develop engaging story ideas highlighting CGA programs, members, and the people who make up golf in Colorado.
- Organize, edit, and manage photo and video assets from CGA tournaments, programs, and events.
- Assist with website publishing, graphics, and other digital communications projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to live near or commute to CGA headquarters for the duration of the internship, though ample daily travel is required.
- Flexibility to work extended days (often 1-2 hours from CGA headquarters), early mornings, some weekends, and travel overnight.
- Background in golf and interest in journalism, photography, video, and graphic design preferred.
- Self-motivated and personable with strong work ethic and enthusiasm.
- Ability to handle conflict situations and communicate effectively.
- Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and current digital content trends.
- Experience with photography, videography, and/or video editing preferred.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and/or Premiere Pro, preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
COMPENSATION: $20.00/hour, plus overtime (non-exempt) | 40 hours/week estimated, not guaranteed
Access to CGA owned CommonGround Golf Course on space available basis.
Job expenses covered (mileage, staff uniforms, meals & lodging if necessary, etc.).
