2027 SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Program Overview

Internships are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. To be eligible, applicants must be either a rising college senior or current graduate student in an accredited institution at the time of the program. 

We look for individuals who share our passion for the game and the mission of the NBA: to inspire and connect people everywhere through the power of basketball.

Candidates should be in excellent academic standing and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, we look for candidates who possess leadership skills as demonstrated through relevant extracurricular or community activities. 

Pay Rates:

• Undergraduate internships: $26/hr 
• Undergraduate Technical internships: $32/hr
• Graduate internships: $35/hr
• Graduate Technical internships: $40/hr  
• AI Undergraduate internships: $32/hr  
• AI Graduate internships: $40/hr

  Your application will be reviewed by the NBA Talent Acquisition team, and the most qualified candidates will be invited to submit a video interview.

  Select candidates will be invited to participate in live interviews with the hiring team via Zoom.
• OFFERS EXTENDED 
  March 2027
  Departments will begin extending internship offers to selected candidates. 
• INTERNSHIP BEGINS

Program Components

Our Leaders, Our Business
The 10-week internship experience features fireside chats with different executives from the business, including Commissioner Adam Silver and Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Mark Tatum, among others. 

Professional Development
Our interns have opportunities to sharpen their professional skills throughout our development curriculum. The internship program offers two tracks catered to both undergraduate and graduate interns. 

Community, Culture & Connection
Interns are invited to attend the NBA Draft, WNBA games, NBA Cares events and other social events in order to build community throughout the summer.
