The Minnesota Vikings are seeking an Accounting & Finance Associate to support the operations of the Accounting & Finance department. This role will primarily support the accounts payable process and annual budgeting process, while also gaining experience in traditional accounting and finance functions.

In addition to the duties described above, the Accounting & Finance Associate will participate in the Vikings’ exclusive Leadership Development Program. This program provides opportunities for professional development, exposure to organizational leadership, and skill-building critical for future career growth. Clearly defined goals between the Associate and their Supervisor(s) will be tracked and measured throughout the term of the program.

This is a temporary full-time position beginning June 1, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027, unless otherwise determined.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately and timely process Accounts Payable, ensuring correct approvals according to team policy and timely payment.
  • Heavy focus on data entry and management of invoice/supporting information.
  • Prepare and organize detailed support to be included with checks for review and approval.
  • Assist with audit requests by providing invoice and payment back-up.
  • Research accounting issues to drive decisions, including implementation of a new AP workflow solution.
  • Support the annual budget and quarterly budget process by managing related tools and templates and participating in business strategy meetings.
  • Gather and analyze disparate data to provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Attend meetings with league or local sports counterparts as needed.
  • Interact with related entities or third-party contractors as required.
  • Provide perspective and opinions on department and organizational initiatives and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance recommended.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively at any level.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and multi-task effectively.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated.
  • Professionally curious with attention to detail and a thorough approach to process.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes.
