About the Rising Professionals Program

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are interested in learning from industry-leading professionals and exploring what it means to be a part of Canada’s only Major League Baseball team. 

Selected individuals will become part of a diverse cohort with access to department-specific training, social activities and learning opportunities. Each participant will also be assigned a cross-departmental mentor from within the organization to guide them throughout the program and the unique chance to present to the Toronto Blue Jays'  Leadership Team. 

During this year-long program, candidates will gain invaluable real-world exposure to the sports industry, immersing themselves in the Toronto Blue Jays world right here at the Rogers Centre

Overview

As a member of the Partnerships team, you will have the unique opportunity to learn from a diverse group of sponsorship professionals, including exposure to working directly with many of Canada’s most iconic brands. You will help deliver customized marketing solutions that drive business results for our partners and work collaboratively with teams across the organization to deliver meaningful solutions that bring our partnerships to life, allowing for significant professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Toronto Blue Jays Partnerships team, you will have the ability to assist and play a key role in the overall planning and execution of:
    • Corporate partner in-game activations and stadium activations
    • Contest planning and fulfillment
    • Execution of partner hospitality events and select special projects throughout the season.
    • Mid and End-of-season recap reports, including gathering and compiling partner photos, data, and research
  • Collaborate with team members across other departments to help build best-in-class partnerships
  • Assist with managing day-to-day communication & workflow with partners through weekly status calls, brainstorms, and presentation preparation
  • Assist with the management and execution of Blue Jays Partnership Events throughout the season
  • Support with organizing and collecting in-market assets (“proof of performance”) from digital & in-stadium activations


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sport Management, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience gained in the last 3 years
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Critical and strategic thinker; ability to be proactive and offer creative solutions
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong time management skills; required to work under pressure and rise to creative challenges under tight deadlines
  • Valid Class G driver’s license

Applicants must be willing and able to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends and holidays as required.

Salary: The anticipated base compensation for this role is $25.00 per hour.
