Wagner College, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Northeast Conference, is seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Athletic Facilities & Operations Graduate Assistant. This role provides hands-on experience in Division I athletics event management and facility operations while working closely with the Director of Athletics and the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Operations.
The Graduate Assistant will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of all home athletic events and special events while helping maintain the daily operations of Wagner College’s athletic facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the management and execution of all athletic and special events, including staffing, scheduling, and facility/event setup
- Provide game management support for multiple varsity sports programs
- Serve as a primary point of contact for visiting teams, game officials, and event personnel
- Assist with scheduling practices and events across all athletic facilities
- Collaborate with Marketing, Ticketing, and other athletic department units to support game-day operations
- Coordinate with coaches regarding facility and operational needs
- Troubleshoot game-day technical issues involving video boards, scoreboards, shot clocks, and A/V systems
- Submit and track work orders with Campus Operations for maintenance, grounds, and custodial needs
- Communicate event logistics and operational requirements with Campus Security
- Assist with vendor coordination and facility support
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletics Administration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of collegiate athletics experience preferred
- Experience in athletic facilities, event operations, or game management strongly preferred
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50+ pounds
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by athletic event schedules
