Event Overview:
You will be working as ticket and parking operations staff in Opelika, AL at Sistrunk Farms for a Rodeo and Country Music Festival on March 28th. As an Event Intern at FanGate Solutions for The Auburn Rodeo, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in ticket scanning, box office operations, event management and guest services. Your role will be assisting with will call tickets, scanning tickets at the entry of the facility, troubleshooting ticketing issues, and handing out the appropriate credential. Once your shift is complete, you are allowed general admission into the music festival. The Auburn Rodeo will feature performances by Treaty Oak Revival, Muscadine Bloodline, Kaitlyn Butts, The Bends, and Hayden Blount.
Responsibilities:
- Aid guests with accurate festival and promotional information
- Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns
- Accurately scan and validate all parking passes and festival tickets
- Distribute appropriate wristband and parking credentials
- Represent FanGate Solutions and its clients in a professional and ethical manner
- Punctual and self-motivated with an attention to detail
- Communicate all pertinent information with clients and guests
- Provide & maintain the highest level of customer service to clients and guests
- Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by managers
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Willing to travel to local and/or out of state venues
- Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends, evenings and some holidays
- College student majoring in sport management, hospitality management, music business, marketing, communications or related fields is a plus
- Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
- Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests’ needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic
- Ticket sales experience is a plus
- Must be neat and presentable at all times
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED
Pay and Schedule:
Pay is $12/hr.
Saturday, March 28th: 9am - 8pm*
