Camera Director Key Responsibilities:
This position entails, assuming the most responsibility within the live aspect of the broadcast. The Webcast Camera Director must coordinate three camera operators, two broadcasters, and be in close contact with the Graphics Director to produce a seamless broadcast. Along with primarily controlling the visual aspects of the broadcast by cutting between four cameras, the director must also operate the live sound levels of the broadcast while toggling five separate audio channels. They must also occasionally contribute to the graphics side, expanding the social media brand collectively with the media team.

Preseason:
- Complete league mandated testing which provides the knowledge and ensures the understanding of proper use of equipment, specific shots and framing for game use.
- Hands-on training to practice correct setup/teardown, usage, and storage of equipment, and needed shots for filming games.
- Watch all camera director training videos provided by the webcast supervisor.
In Season:
- Arrive to each crew call 30-60 minutes prior to game time
- Arrive on the days your scheduled
- Communicate with supervisor clearly
- Let supervisor know if you can't make it or if youll be late at least 8 hours prior to crew call
- Show professionalism all the time
Pregame:
- Co-produce pregame show. Responsible for proper equipment set up.
- Participate in pregame meetings to discuss potential improvements from previous games.
- Conduct a communications check with all camera operators to ensure cameras are all functioning properly, a communications check with broadcasters to ensure sound is balanced and for any specific talking points they may have for the pregame show, and a communications check with the graphics director about any shots to get with corresponding graphics.
Game Time:
- Direct camera operators to the best of your ability.
- Actively listen to broadcast announcers in order to direct camera operators where to shoot.
- Actively watch and listen to game play surroundings to anticipate the shots needed to direct operators where to shoot.
- Co-produce game, working directly with the graphics director to ensure timing of shots and graphics is accurate.
- Co-produce postgame show. Help troubleshoot equipment if malfunctions manifest during the game.

Post Game:
- Correctly shut down equipment and ensure that it is ready for the next person to use it.
- Participate in postgame meetings to discuss ideas and potential improvements for future games.
- Assist with stadium setup before games and post-game cleanup, including maintaining the stands, restrooms, and other shared spaces.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Front Office Staff
Throughout Season:
- Produce Highlight reels of Huskies games
- Edit each home game
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university
- Actively pursuing a degree or career in video production, communications or related field
- Experience in video editing, live media graphic creation required
- Some experience in live production preferred
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Organized with a keen eye for detail
- Basic knowledge of baseball preferred
- Must be available for ALL 36 Duluth Huskies home games and potential playoff games.
- Team-player mentality and willingness to help out with various tasks across the ballpark.
Housing: Interns are responsible for arranging and paying for their own housing. Summer housing options may be available through UWS.
