Columbia, Missouri, The Mizzou Sports Medicine department is searching for three Olympic Sport Post-Graduate Athletic Training Fellows and one Football Post-Graduate Athletic Training Fellow. This fellowship program is designed to prepare athletic trainers for advanced clinical practice and to elevate care for the Mizzou student athletes. This 10-month paid position offers hands-on experience and mentorship while working alongside a full-time staff member in the sports medicine department.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist the full-time Athletic Trainer in providing services and coverage to the assigned sport (Potential sport assignments will be Soccer, Gymnastics, Basketball, Wrestling, Track and Field, Softball, Swim, or Football).

· Participate in a mentorship program and curriculum focused on professional and personal development while creating connections with University of Missouri Athletics department staff members.

· Work collaboratively with team physicians, dieticians, strength and conditioning coaches, mental health professionals, and sport coaches.

· Gain experience with administrative tasks, duties, and responsibilities at the power four Division I level.

· Maintain complete documentation, injury tracking, and communication consistent with SEC protocols within the University of Missouri electronic medical record system.

· Camp coverage opportunities for extra payment during the summer of arrival and following.

· Covered expenses for Missouri licensure, NATA fees, BOC fees, professional liability insurance, and CPR/AED courses.

· At the completion of the 10-month fellowship, a CEU opportunity will be offered. The following professional duties will be required to maintain good standing as a professional: · Maintain B.O.C. certification and Missouri licensure with accumulation of CEU’s. · Maintain medical malpractice liability insurance. · Collaborate with other staff members to help develop in the areas of rehab, treatment, movement profiles, and readiness score/testing.
