Rutgers-Newark Athletics seeks applicants for a Coordinator of Academic Support and Student-Athlete Welfare Intern position. This position is being funded by the NCAA Division III Pathway to Excellence Grant. The position will begin in August 2026, and will continue through the 2027-28 academic year. Salary will be $30,000 annually with an additional $3000 professional development stipend. Rutgers-Newark will also provide housing in our graduate housing facility, or a housing stipend. Primary duties will include coordinating a program of academic monitoring/support and student-athlete welfare, in conjunction with department and campus staff. The intern will also assist with contest/event management, compliance, and general athletic administration functions. Bachelor’s Degree required; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; interest in pursuing a career in athletic administration; computer skills; some relevant work experience preferred.
