This is an ideal position for a student with strong communication skills who wants a hands-on start to a career in sports business development.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Pipeline Development
  • Research and identify prospective corporate partners across priority categories including financial services, healthcare, home services, and travel/hospitality.
  • Build and maintain targeted prospect lists using local business directories, industry databases, and competitive research.
  • Assist in developing outreach sequences including cold emails, call scripts, and LinkedIn messaging to engage new leads.
  • Track prospect activity and pipeline status within the team’s CRM system (HubSpot), ensuring records are current and accurate.
  • Help identify and research sponsorship category gaps and emerging local business opportunities.

Pitch & Proposal Support
  • Assist in preparing customized sponsorship proposals, pitch decks, and one-pagers tailored to prospective partner interests.
  • Support the development of rate cards, package summaries, and benefits matrices for sales presentations.
  • Help research prospect backgrounds and business priorities to inform tailored pitching strategies.
  • Participate in and observe sales meetings, calls, and presentations with prospective partners.
  • Assist in following up with prospects post-meeting, including proposal delivery and next-step coordination.

Activation & Fulfillment Support
  • Support the on-site execution of partner activations at home matches once deals are closed.
  • Help ensure sponsor deliverables are tracked and fulfilled according to contractual commitments.
  • Assist in documenting activation photography and compiling materials for partner recap reports.
  • Perform additional sponsorship sales and business development duties as assigned.

Team Culture & Collaboration
  • Contribute to a positive and energetic office environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support team-wide initiatives.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and a team-first attitude at all times.

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Passion for sports, sponsorship, and revenue generation.

Education & Experience

  • Currently working toward a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
