E-Sports Intern: Summer 2026: Part Time/Seasonal

Location: Lakeland Hills YMCA in Mountain Lakes, NJ
Schedule: June 22 – August 14, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Ages Served: 4th–7th Grade

About the Role

The Lakeland Hills Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic Esports Intern to support our Summer Camp Esports program. This role is perfect for someone passionate about gaming who enjoys mentoring youth and creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.

Campers participate in structured esports programming in the mornings, followed by traditional day camp activities and swimming in the afternoons.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and facilitate daily esports activities and group programming
  
• Supervise and engage a group of up to 10 campers
  
• Ensure physical and emotional safety at all times
  
• Support team play, communication, and sportsmanship
  
• Build positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff
  
• Follow all YMCA policies, safety standards, and child protection procedures
  
• Assist with general camp duties as needed
  

Games & Equipment

• PC gaming stations and Nintendo Switches
  
• Games include: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Fortnite, Rocket League, League of Legends, VALORANT
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Entering first year of college or equivalent
  
• Prior experience working with children
  
• Strong knowledge of esports and competitive gaming
  
• Coaching or leadership experience preferred
  
• Dependable, flexible, and energetic
