The Seasonal Football Communications Intern will assist with day-to-day responsibilities for the communications department and the team’s year-round publicity efforts. The Seasonal Football Communications Intern will assist with football-related media responsibilities such as facilitating interviews with players and coaches as well as creating and updating football information to be shared internally and externally.
 
Role Responsibilities:
  • Creating and distributing weekly releases for media during the season
  • Manage Los Angeles Rams PR Twitter account and create weekly content calendars
  • Tracking and sharing team and individual stats
  • Distributing postgame notes to media on game days
  • Creating and producing flip cards
  • Processing and distributing credentials for home games
  • Working closely with players and coaches to assist with media requests
  • Transcribing news conferences for key players and coaches
  • Creating and updating information for the team’s media guide
  • Pitching stories to media
  • Compiling news clippings and disseminating news to staff
  • Media monitoring
  • Updating team rosters
Role Qualifications (Skills/Experience/Capabilities):
  • Strong writing skills and experience
  • Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail and work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office and Excel software
  • College sports media experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations from a four-year college or university preferred
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
