The Futures Intern supports the Futures Division by handling the back-end outreach and systems organization that keep the program running smoothly. Working directly with the Director of Futures, the intern helps with player and coach research, outreach communications, roster and data upkeep, and social media content, while gaining hands-on experience in how a travel baseball program is built and run. This role reports to the Director of Futures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Help maintain team rosters, player contact lists, and schedules in Google Sheets, LeagueApps, and Salesforce under the direction of the Director of Futures.
• Support player recruiting by researching player ranking providers (e.g. Perfect Game, PBR) and compiling prospect lists for the Director of Futures to review.
• Build and organize contact lists of high school coaches in the 5-county area to support relationship building and outreach.
• Help draft and schedule posts for the Futures social media accounts (Twitter(X), Instagram, etc.). All content is approved by the Director of Futures and the Head of Marketing before posting.
• Help prepare and organize the documents used to standardize Futures across training centers, such as tryout materials, schedules, practice plans, pricing sheets, and policy handouts.
• Draft outreach emails and follow-up messages to players, families, and coaches for the Director of Futures to review and send.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Gain:

• Working knowledge of key ASSA platforms, including Salesforce, LeagueApps, MindBody, Google Sheets & Microsoft services.
• Direct mentorship from the Director of Futures.
• Experience that may be used toward academic internship credit, where the intern’s school allows.

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program; Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or Communications preferred 
• Baseball playing or coaching experience strongly preferred 
• Comfortable with Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms 
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks 
• Strong desire to learn and grow 
• Strong work ethic 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Customer-oriented 
• Positive, energetic attitude 
• Ability to work evenings and weekends 

Physical Requirements 
 •Must be able to lift 25 lbs. 
• Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time.
