The North Adams SteepleCats Gameday Operations Intern is responsible for ensuring that the daily tasks of the SteepleCats organization are completed properly and efficiently, mainly on game days. These tasks include:
  • Working one-on-one with major sponsors to ensure their night on the field exceeds their expectations
  • Set up, execution, and break down of all 22 home games (running all game day operations)
  • Field preparation and equipment organization before and after the season
  • Continuous community outreach and networking within Berkshire County
  • Preparing and helping to execute mascot and player appearances at local schools, businesses, and community events
  • Transporting various items within the ballpark and at times to other locations – includes food and beverages, equipment, etc.
  • Coordinating and working various events and fundraisers
  • Communicating with SteepleCats fans, player parents, volunteers, and the organization's board of directors

  • Willing to work varying hours: potentially early mornings, days, nights, and/or weekends

Additional Information: This internship is full time at 40 hours/week and runs from late May – early August. This is an unpaid internship, but the SteepleCats provide free local housing and a meal at home games. Eligibility for course credit varies by institution. Your own transportation is encouraged but not necessary.

The North Adams SteepleCats is a collegiate summer baseball team, bringing the best college baseball players from across the country to play summer baseball at Joe Wolfe Field in North Adams, MA. The team is part of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, a premier summer league that operates as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
