Vermont State University Castleton, a proud member of NCAA Division III and located in the picturesque state of Vermont, invites applications for the position of Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant

The Graduate Assistant will play an integral role in supporting the Director of Athletic Communications with coverage for all 28 of our varsity sports.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: event and statistical management, overseeing student workers, maintaining the athletics website, contributing to sports marketing efforts, recording and editing video highlight packages, managing content across various social media platforms, and assisting with other essential office functions.

Due to the nature of the role, the Graduate Assistant will be expected to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in alignment with the demands of the athletic communications field.

Required Qualifications:  

A bachelor’s degree is required, along with acceptance into a graduate program at Vermont State University Castleton. 

A solid understanding of athletic communications, along with familiarity with a variety of collegiate sports. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, PrestoStats, and Sidearm website management will be considered a significant advantage.
