The Graduate Assistant Equipment Manager for Indiana State University will have a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:
•Issue, store, and manage return of athletic equipment
•Assist with setting up football practice field
•Practice responsibilities may include but are not limited to spotting ball for team periods, shooting off jugs machine, assisting position coaches during individual periods, holding down markers, and keeping field clear of all equipment
•Assist with laundry services for all practice gear for student-athletes and coaches
•Set up locker rooms for home games and ensure that all student-athletes for football and soccer have uniforms, game pants, and any accessories needed for games
•Game Day Duties
• Pack Equipment truck
• Test Headsets
• Pack equipment trunks and set on sideline
•Assist with the daily management of baseball equipment, including preparation, distribution, inventory tracking, and upkeep of uniforms, practice gear, and game-day equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe and game-ready condition. Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year of working for a collegiate football team or in an athletic equipment room
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift heavy objects (sometimes exceeding 50 pounds)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Stipend and fee waiver
