The Athletics Department at Bryant University invites applications for the 2-year Graduate Assistant position in Sports Performance. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 25 varsity sports, and is a member of the America East Conference as well as an associate member of the Coastal Athletic Association, Big South, and East Coast Conferences. This position reports to the Director of Sports Performance (or designated athletics administrator).
The Graduate Assistant for Sports Performance will assist in the design, implementation, and supervision of strength and conditioning programs for Bryant University student-athletes, emphasizing athlete safety, performance enhancement, and long-term development within an NCAA Division I environment.
Salary Range:
GA compensation includes a full tuition waiver, housing, and a $1,500.00 stipend in Spring and Fall semesters starting August 1. Graduate School is a 2-year part-time program beginning August 2026 through August 2028.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the development and implementation of sport-specific strength, conditioning, and performance programs for assigned teams
Supervising training sessions in the weight room and performance facilities, ensuring proper technique, safety, and program adherence
Assisting with movement assessments, testing, data collection, and performance monitoring
Supporting the integration of speed, agility, plyometric, and conditioning components into training programs
Collaborating with athletic training, coaching staffs, and sports medicine personnel to support comprehensive student-athlete care
Assisting with the education of student-athletes regarding proper lifting techniques, recovery strategies, and performance habits
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe training environment, including equipment setup, breakdown, and inventory tracking
Assisting with scheduling and facility usage for teams
Supporting administrative duties such as record keeping, documentation, and reporting
Performing other duties as assigned
This position requires availability early mornings, nights, weekends, and select holidays in alignment with team training and competition schedules. Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and acceptance into the Bryant University Graduate School (acceptance must be confirmed before candidate will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in strength and conditioning or sports performance, preferably in a collegiate or athletic setting
Pursuit of, or eligibility to obtain, professional certification (e.g., NSCA CSCS , CSCCa SCCC , or equivalent)
Knowledge of strength training, speed and agility, and conditioning principles
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to instruct, motivate, and supervise student-athletes in a team-based environment
Exposure to intercollegiate athletics
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
