This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Media and Communications and works closely with the Athletic External Operations unit for all graphic and photography needs. This individual is vital in helping enhance the Bear brand through social media presence, storytelling through photos and graphics, creating signage, etc.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Collaborates with communications, marketing and development staff on social media strategy and content development that enhances revenue streams, fan engagement and brand awareness.
Oversee a staff of student workers/interns to help develop the overall photography and graphics strategy to create a foundation of success across all sports.
Create multiple styles of graphics including game day, postgame, postseason, sponsors, awards, etc.
Photograph LR events - this may include travel for postseason events.
Assist with sports communications coverage depending on department needs and experience.
Oversee a group of student workers/interns on the basics of photography and graphic design.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
Experience working in a collegiate or professional sports digital media department
Ability to work nights and weekends
Owning a personal camera is not required, but preferred.
This position covers up to 33 credit hours of school with a $500 per month stipend, a meal plan, and housing covered.
