Brooks Internship Program:
Brooks Running hosts summer internships at our Seattle HQ offices to provide hands-on, meaningful work experience to further enhance your education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real work, and projects while working side by side with Brooks employees and leadership. If chosen for this role, you will join a cohort of interns at Brooks and embark on a summer of learning, professional development, and exposure to the Brooks brand and culture.

Duration: 3 months Dates: Start dates will align for both quarter and semester students. May/June - August/September 2026Location: Seattle, HQ Schedule: 40 hours / week
This Opportunity:
The Influencer Marketing Team is seeking an Influencer Marketing intern to work at our Seattle HQ offices. This position will work closely with the Influencer Marketing team, which is responsible for influencer programs, campaigns and activations. The team also works closely with Organic Social, Paid Media, Brand Partnerships and Public Relations teams.
Through this opportunity you will help the influencer marketing team create a strategy to enhance our ambassador program to reach Gen Z audiences. You will gain exposure to influencer marketing strategy and tactics by leading a research project to evolve our existing micro influencer program by providing recommendations. You will shadow and work under the mentorship of Influencer Marketing Specialist Emma Heath and complete work with the goal of presenting your full strategy to our broader team and executing supporting tactics.

Your Impact (Responsibilities):

  • Through this opportunity you will gain exposure to what it takes to craft influencer marketing strategy and help inform decisions to enhance our ambassador program to reach Gen Z audiences.
  • Research, evaluate and provide recommendations on communication strategies to better appeal to our Gen Z influencers in our program.
  • Assist with planning in person events for micro influencers and inform on how best to meet the needs of our Gen Z members.
  • Develop a Gen Z-focused product seeding strategy including criteria and influencer recommendations.
  • Present all compiled research and findings to the Influencer team and broader teams.
  • Meet with members of social media, paid media, PR and Brand Partnerships team(s) to understand their roles, areas of responsibility, and current project focuses.
  • Receive mentorship from Community Engagement Specialist to understand their roles and impact to the broader department and/or business.
  • Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.
  • Flex your social media understanding while also optimizing, improving, and driving quality to solve a problem or improve an existing process.
  • Provide analytical support to inform leadership decision-making on projects related to Brooks micro influencer programs.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and other group meetings.
  • Interact with various business partners that span across Brooks and present the results of your project at the end of your internship.

Project:

  • As a part of your experience as an intern at Brooks, you will have the opportunity to complete a project under the support and supervision of your manager. Details of your project will be finalized once you arrive at Brooks based on your interests, and the needs of the business. You will present your work and findings to leadership at Brooks at the end of your internship, to hone in on your research, recommendation, and presentation skills.  


A high-level project outline for this internship opportunity is as follows: 

  • The Influencer Marketing Intern will work on a project focusing on enhancing our micro influencer programs to reach more Gen Z members. The focus areas will be evolving our communication strategies for the program, in-person event activations and outreach to new members for 2027. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field
  • Ability to commit to the intern position for three months onsite in Seattle, WA
  • Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience
  • Able to commit up to 40 hours a week to be physically present at HQ
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
  • Must be able to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
