Position Summary
The Washington Nationals are seeking Baseball Technology Interns for the Player Development complex in West Palm Beach, FL, our Triple-A Affiliate in Rochester, and the Major League Clubhouse in Washington D.C. These individuals will assist with the day-to-day operation and management of the suite of baseball technologies used by the organization to create optimal training environments to assist hitting coaches, staff and player personnel.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set-up, operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot baseball technologies such as: Trajekt, HitTrax, Rapsodo, Trackman, Blast, etc.
- Collaborate with hitting staff to create optimal training environment utilizing baseball technologies
- Use video-editing software to create video clips to be used in connection with the Trajekt Arc pitching machine
- Assist MLB/MiLB Video Coordinators with other ad-hoc video projects and requests on behalf of players and staff
- Perform ancillary tasks for Baseball Operations and Player Development staff as requested
Requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
- Willing to relocate to major league club or affiliate’s home city for the regular season/playoffs and willing to travel to West Palm Beach for Spring Training
- Availability for the duration of Spring Training and the MLB/MiLB Regular Season

- Prior experience working with baseball technologies such as: Trajekt, HitTrax, Rapsodo, Trackman, Blast, etc. is strongly preferred but not required
- Prior experience in a baseball environment as staff or player is preferred but not required
- Spanish speaking preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Experience working with video editing software such as BATS, SAM, Runway, Adobe Premiere, Movavi, etc. is strongly preferred
Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Ability to work in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue
- Work is performed in both an interior/office environment and outdoors where the employee will be exposed to prevailing weather conditions
- Typically required to climb up/down stairs and walk long distances
- Hours will include nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation:
The projected wage rate for this position is $17.95 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements.
