The San Francisco 49ers offer full-time, paid internships for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in professional sports while exploring careers within the National Football League. Our program is designed to allows participants to contribute directly to the organization’s success while applying the knowledge learned in the classroom.
Interns are embedded within a specific department while also having opportunities to explore the broader organization through group networking events, training sessions, and one-on-one meetings with leaders across the club. Each intern is supported by a mentor and team and contributes to a project that builds skills and professional confidence.

Who We Are Looking For:
The San Francisco 49ers are seeking a creative, highly organized Podcast Production Intern to support the production of our in-house podcast network — including shows with both audio and video components. This role blends audio production, video production, studio operations, editing, and digital storytelling, making it ideal for someone passionate about sports media and creative video content creation.
This role will also support short-form content creation for both domestic and international audiences, including content tailored to Spanish-speaking and Arabic-speaking fanbases. The candidate does not need to speak these languages but should be open to learning about cultural context, content preferences, and platform nuances within international markets.
Working under the direction of the 49ers Studios team, you’ll collaborate with producers, editors, social team, and other marketing staff. You should be adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to developing your craft inside a fast-paced creative environment.

What You Will Experience:
As a Podcast Production Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to every stage of podcast creation, from multi-camera video production and professional audio recording to editing full-length episodes and preparing content for distribution across Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and 49ers.com. You will support our podcast hosts, on-air talent, and team reporter by helping prepare studio spaces, managing equipment needs, and ensuring each recording session runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll also work closely with producers and editors to craft polished long-form episodes and create short-form vertical clips that highlight key moments from each show.
In addition to your work on the podcast network, you will contribute to short-form content tailored for both domestic fans and international audiences, including those in Spanish and Arabic-speaking markets, as well as other markets as needed.
Throughout your internship, you will be immersed in the fast-paced, collaborative environment of the 49ers Content & Creative team, gaining practical experience in storytelling, production workflows, multi-platform publishing, and global content strategy — all while helping elevate the voice and personality of our audio and video programming.
You’ll be joining a championship-standard environment that values innovation, collaboration, preparation, and excellence - on and off the field. An interest in football and the NFL is strongly preferred.
Support the full production cycle of 49ers podcasts, including planning, recording, and editing both audio and video episodes. Assist with multi-camera studio setups, audio equipment, lighting, and on-set operations to ensure professional-quality recordings. Prepare final deliverables for YouTube, podcast platforms, and internal use. Prepares short form clips from these shows for social media.
Create short-form video content that supports the 49ers’ global brand strategy, with a focus on producing platform-specific edits for international audiences, including Spanish-speaking and Arabic-speaking markets. Assist in tailoring content to fit cultural expectations, visual preferences, tone, pacing, and platform norms within each region. Collaborate with international marketing and social teams to develop engaging, creative pieces that expand the 49ers’ presence worldwide.
Stay up to date on trends in podcasting, sports media, and global digital consumption to help evolve our creative approach. Assist in reviewing analytics to inform future content decisions. Bring fresh ideas that enhance engagement and storytelling across platforms.
