Internship Program Overview:
The San Francisco 49ers offer full-time, paid internships for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in professional sports while exploring careers within the National Football League. Our program is designed to allows participants to contribute directly to the organization’s success while applying the knowledge learned in the classroom.
Interns are embedded within a specific department while also having opportunities to explore the broader organization through group networking events, training sessions, and one-on-one meetings with leaders across the club. Each intern is supported by a mentor and team and contributes to a project that builds skills and professional confidence.

General Internship details and expectations:
- Our interns are paid $19.00 an hour and are expected to work 30 - 40 or more hours per week during the internship period.
- Interns are expected to commit to the full term of the internship and be mostly onsite (no remote internships are available) which runs from mid-July through the end February.
- Interns are expected to work flexible hours that include nights, holidays, and weekends.

Position Overview:
To provide a hard-working, dedicated candidate with an internship opportunity to experience the work environment of the Game Presentation & Live Events team during a full season. Upon completion of the internship, it is our hope that the knowledge gained is one that provides great value and experience that will support future career endeavors in the sports industry.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- This position will help create a best-in-class fan experience at 49ers home games by aiding with production and event logistics for all 49ers home games and Levi’s Stadium events – which includes but is not limited to credentials, parking, ticketing, radio orders, catering, and all security logistics.
- Serve as an Assistant Field Producer on game days, which includes learning field operations and NFL protocols, assisting with talent arrivals and escorts, and also executing entertainment presentations.
- Work and communicate with other departments, such as Stadium Operations, Community Relations, Partnerships, Security, etc. to ensure the department’s administrative and operational needs are communicated, documented, requested, and fulfilled.
- Oversee the inventorying and distribution of game presentation uniforms, talent apparel, and entertainment props inventory for 49ers games and events.
- Responsible for requesting and setting up gameday spaces, as well as being the primary point of contact for stage and tunnel moves.
- Conducts research and gathers information for entertainment digital and print publications, such as press releases, magazine prints, and social media graphics.
- Curates media for distribution to talent and internal departments after each home game.
- Assist with crewing and communications for part-time control room staff and entertainment teams (Amp Squad, Gold Rush, Hype Team, Niner Noise, Sourdough Sam, and Touchdown Team).
- Monitor and respond to fan inquiries for the department’s Gameday inbox.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Prior experience in a professional sports or large-scale events environment is a plus.
