Social Media Intern (Content Creation & Community) – Atlanta Dream
The Atlanta Dream is seeking a Social Media Intern to join our social and content team for the 2026 WNBA season. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on creating engaging social content and building meaningful connections with our fans in real time.
This role is ideal for someone who understands internet culture, has a strong instinct for storytelling, and is excited to help shape how the Dream shows up across social platforms. You’ll play a key role in both capturing content and engaging directly with our audience, helping bring the voice of the Dream to life every day.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Capture
- Assist in capturing real-time video and photo content at practices, games, and team events (including behind-the-scenes and candid moments)
- Support editing of short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Contribute to the execution of social-first content concepts that highlight players, culture, and the Atlanta community
- Assist in quick-turn editing to capitalize on real-time moments and trends
Community Management
- Actively monitor and engage with fans across platforms (comments, replies, DMs) in the Atlanta Dream voice
- Identify opportunities for real-time engagement, conversation, and cultural moments
- Support game day community management, including live reactions and fan interaction
- Flag key fan insights, sentiment, and notable conversations to the social team
Publishing & Platform Support
- Assist in publishing content on TikTok and Threads
- Support game day workflows, including pulling and posting real-time content
- Write and edit captions that reflect brand voice and platform best practices
Trends & Performance
- Monitor social trends and surface timely, relevant content ideas
- Support tracking and reporting of content performance (engagement, reach, etc.)
- Contribute ideas to evolve content formats based on what’s working
Requirements
- Available to work nights, weekends, and all home games
- Based in Atlanta by start date
- Strong interest in women’s basketball, storytelling, and sports media
Qualifications
- Recent graduate with relevant professional or internship experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
- Strong understanding of social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube)
- Experience capturing and editing short-form content (Premiere, CapCut, InShot, etc.)
- Strong communication and writing skills with attention to tone and detail
- Organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
Compensation: $18/hour
