USA Basketball, the national governing body in the United States for the sport of basketball, is seeking applicants for a paid apparel and equipment operations internship. This internship begins in April 2026 and concludes in October 2026. Some flexibility on the beginning and ending dates does exist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing apparel and equipment leading into all USA Basketball youth programs as well as men's and women's basketball teams, which in 2026 will include the women’s FIBA World Cup team; men’s and women’s 3x3 world Cup teams; men’s and women’s U18 FIBA AmeriCup teams; men’s and women’s U17 FIBA World Cup teams; FIBA 3x3 competitions; USA Basketball 3x3 National Championships; team trials and training camps
  • Assist with inventory management of all apparel and equipment, including tracking what goes in and out of the storeroom daily
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of all packages to and from the office (i.e. making shipping labels, (un)packing boxes, wrapping pallets, etc.)
  • Maintain shipment logs and apparel sizing databases
  • Attend National Team trials taking place in Colorado Springs
  • Position not expected to travel to non-local camps and competitions
  • Additional duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or graduation by end of May 2026
  • Proven experience in a sports-related field (experience in managing equipment preferred)
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and prepare for multiple events simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within fast-paced environment as part of a team, including effective coordination with members of other departments
  • Must be able to able to frequently move, carry, and lift boxes that are 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to relocate to Colorado Springs during the duration of the internship, noting own transportation and housing will need to be secured

Compensation:

  • $18.00 Hourly Wage
  • Eligible for overtime after 40 hours per week
