Internship: Community Engagement

General position summary: The NCAA postgraduate community engagement intern will focus on designing, coordinating, and implementing community engagement programs aligned with the NCAA strategic pillars, including student-athlete development and community impact. The position will support educational initiatives, event planning, stakeholder engagement, communications and project management while collaborating with student-athletes and external partners to create meaningful experiences and strengthen community connections. Support community engagement initiatives that create meaningful experiences for student-athletes, member schools, local communities and national office staff. The Community Engagement intern helps coordinate and deliver NCAA outreach & educational programming, Championship-related community activations, initiatives, events, and strategic initiatives while collaborating with NCAA staff, membership leaders and external partners.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Education

• Support the DI Accelerating Academic Success Program.
• Assist with grant reporting and research.
• Help develop digital educational resources and best practices.
• Develop online learning materials

Community Engagement

• Coordinate community engagement initiatives and events.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects
• Support Readers Become Leaders® and Team IMPACT experiences.
• Assist with Final Four Legacy Projects.
• Maintain community engagement resources.

Project Leadership & Management

• Manage initiatives through Asana.
• Update websites, calendars, and SharePoint.
• Support special projects for business unit leadership
• Manage internal and external communications
