Decatur FC is seeking a Guest Relations Intern to support the fan experience across several match-day touchpoints, including merchandise, vendors, and ticket coordination during the 2026 season.
This internship offers hands-on experience in sports event operations and fan experience while supporting a community-focused soccer club in Decatur. Decatur FC aims to serve as a place where students and community members can gain meaningful experience working in sports and live events.
The Guest Relations Intern will help ensure that guests attending Decatur FC matches feel welcomed and supported while assisting with retail, vendor coordination, and ticket-related logistics that contribute to a smooth and enjoyable match day experience.
Responsibilities
During the week

Assist with merchandise preparation and inventory tracking for upcoming matches

Coordinate with food and retail vendors to confirm match day needs

Help organize ticket lists and group check ins

Assist with planning retail and vendor setup for match day operations

Support preparation of guest facing materials and information
On match days

Provide general assistance to guests throughout the stadium

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in sports, events, retail, hospitality, or fan experience

Schedule and Expectations

Season runs for five weeks during the summer (first game: May 22, 2026)

Internship begins May 4 and includes all home matches

6-8 hours per week during the week (prep work)

Match days require additional evening availability
Compensation

$1,000 stipend for the five-week season
