General position summary: This intern will support the office of inclusion by developing and delivering educational programming for NCAA members and national office staff, advancing key initiatives, and providing project management and subject-matter support for resource development. In this role, the intern will contribute to belonging and well-being efforts across the national office, member institutions and conferences, with a particular emphasis on supporting initiatives for student-athletes. The position will primarily focus on internal and external belonging and well-being initiatives while also providing practical experience in leadership development and community engagement.

Responsibilities

Educational Programming

Develop and deliver educational programming.

Research, edit and create educational resources.

Present content to NCAA members and staff.

Belonging Initiatives

Support Community Connections, Common Ground and Emerging Sports for Women.

Assist the Community and Belonging Initiative.

Support the USOPC/NCAA Para-College Inclusion Project.

Assist the NCAA Committee on Access, Opportunity and Impact.

Project Management

Track projects using Asana.

Collaborate across IECE initiatives.

Support department projects and special assignments.

Essential duties:

Collaborate with the office of inclusion on campus belonging initiatives, including Community Connections, Common Ground, Emerging Sports for Women, and the USOPC/NCAA Para-College Inclusion Project.Β 

Co-lead the planning, coordination, promotion and execution of the Community and Belonging Initiative.

Support at least one program or event within the offices of leadership development and community engagement.

Support the NCAA Committee on Access, Opportunity and Impact.

Use organization-wide project management software (Asana) to track projects and provide visibility into assigned work.

Research, edit and help develop belonging- and well-being-related resources for NCAA members and national office staff.

Present and facilitate belonging- and well-being-related content for NCAA members and national office staff.

Perform other duties as assigned, based on departmental needs.

High level of professionalism, attention to detail and discretion.

Strong organizational, critical-thinking, problem-solving and time-management skills.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work proactively, flexibly and efficiently to manage and execute projects on time, including under pressure and on tight deadlines.

Comfort presenting to or sharing information with small- to medium-sized audiences.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal direction as needed.
