Iowa Barnstormers

The Iowa Barnstormers Football Club is a dynamic, locally owned, highly successful franchise that plays in the Indoor Football League. Based in Des Moines, IA, the team has established a strong, loyal fan base and is looking for energetic, professional, and self-motivated interns to assist with the 2026 season.

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Head Coach, Football Assistant Interns will be tasked with a variety of football operations responsibilities throughout the 2026 Iowa Barnstormers season.

• Required to attend Iowa Barnstormers morning practices as scheduled
• Required to attend all Iowa Barnstormers home games
• Will be responsible for filming Iowa Barnstormers practices and following instruction to turn in or upload film for coaches and team to review
• Will be responsible for filming home games from designated locations and following instruction to turn in or upload film for coaches and team to review
• Will be responsible for participating on Stats Crew to keep stats as needed during every home game
• Will have the opportunity to work closely with the Iowa Barnstormers coaching staff on the breakdown of film

Due to the nature of this position, Football Assistant Interns must be willing to work non-traditional hours, some weekends, holidays, and game days.

Requirements:

• Earning college degree in sports, media, communications, or a related field
• Must have strong interest in sports field
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to follow directions
• Must be local

 This is a volunteer based internship.
