Official League, the flagship premium lifestyle brand within the COLLiDE Agency umbrella, is seeking talented and creative students to join our team for a remote Journalism Internship during the Winter / Spring 2027 semester. As part of COLLiDE’s dynamic portfolio, Official League creates premium headwear and apparel and builds partnerships with sports teams, leagues, music artists, and cultural brands.
If you're passionate about writing, sports, music, and storytelling, this opportunity offers hands-on experience creating editorial content and social media video scripts for a growing lifestyle brand.
About the Role:
As a Journalism Intern, you’ll work closely with our marketing, communications, and social media teams to write stories for officialleague.com surrounding new collections, announcements, music artists, and sports. You’ll research story ideas, help develop interviews and features, and turn those stories into engaging video scripts for social media. Your work will help audiences connect with the people, history, and creative ideas behind Official League’s collaborations.
This is a remote, seasonal internship designed for college credit and is unpaid.
Responsibilities:
• Research and write stories for officialleague.com covering new collections, brand and partnership announcements, music artists, and sports stories.
• Pitch story ideas that connect Official League’s collaborations with sports, music, and culture.
• Write video scripts for social media, including hooks, voiceover copy, and concise narratives for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other platforms.
• Adapt website articles and longer stories into short-form video scripts in collaboration with the social media team.
• Research team histories, artist backgrounds, design inspiration, and other details that bring context to our stories.
• Prepare interview questions and assist with interviews for features and profiles.
• Develop headlines, article introductions, and supporting copy for sharing stories across digital channels.
• Fact-check names, dates, quotations, and historical details using credible sources.
• Collaborate with the marketing, graphics, and social teams to align stories and scripts with upcoming releases and announcements.
• Incorporate editorial feedback, meet deadlines, and help maintain an organized content calendar.
Requirements:
• Enrolled as a student with a focus on Journalism, Communications, English, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Strong writing, research, and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Passion for sports, music, culture, and creative storytelling.
• Ability to develop compelling story angles and adapt writing for both website articles and social media videos.
• Familiarity with short-form video platforms such as Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Interest in interviewing, fact-checking, and using credible sources.
• Ability to take direction, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Basic knowledge of Google Workspace tools, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
• Writing samples or a portfolio showcasing previous work. Coursework, student publications, personal projects, and video scripts are welcome.
• Availability to collaborate within Pacific Time hours.
