As an AI Programs Intern, you will support our organization-wide AI adoption initiatives. You will partner with various teams and departments to help employees get the most out of AI tools, develop training resources, research practical use cases, and track program metrics. Your contributions will help drive how our organization embraces AI for collaboration, productivity, and innovation.
Program Period: June - August 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting AI adoption efforts across teams and departments, monitoring usage metrics, and helping maintain engagement with AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
- Partnering with Human Resources to develop and deliver AI training materials, resources, and enablement sessions for team members.
- Researching and documenting department-specific AI use cases to drive practical value across the organization.
- Supporting AI Council activities, including meeting coordination, tracking initiative progress, and assisting with stakeholder communication.
- Preparing and updating documentation related to AI governance, best practices, and usage guidelines.
- Assisting the TechOps organization & AI council with other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and their practical business applications.
- Professionalism and a self-starting attitude, with the ability to work both as a team player and independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms is preferred.
- General working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed to support event or project needs.
To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
- Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
- Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
- Able to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer session
Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
