Title: Partnership Activation Intern

Reports To: Sr. Partnership Activation Manager
FLSA Status: Non- Exempt
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide assistance to the Partnership Marketing department in all areas including, but not limited to, partner activation, partner experiences, and day-to-day business operations. The Activation Intern will be highly organized, professional, team-focused, passionate, collaborative, positive and be able to think on their feet.
Program Timeline: June - August 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the department’s strategic goals through supporting team member requests and completing assigned tasks
- Assist with planning, preparing and executing events in-arena and in the community
- Aid in the brainstorming of strategies including unique activations, community tie ins, etc.
- Utilize metric databases and assist in creation of Canva and PowerPoint deck presentations and recaps
- Manage partnership assets, photo databases, and tracking documents
- Participate in event-day responsibilities such as photography, client greeting and escorting, activation support and inventory management
- Organize event day tracking documents and assist Account Managers with event-day preparation
- Support Partnership Marketing team with client requests
- Assist with partnership promotion prize and gifting fulfillment
- Join bi-weekly meetings and support cross-departmental work
- Various other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- An interest in gaining experience in sponsorship, partnership activation, or experiential marketing
- Strong organizational skills and resourcefulness
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and anticipate projects
- Must have in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be service-oriented, committed to teamwork and catering to the customer
- Capable of working extended hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Working knowledge of photography and photoshop would be a plus, but is not required
To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
- Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
- Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
- Able to work up to 40 hours per week
Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
