Job Title: Mansfield Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant

Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of promoting and publicizing the University’s athletic programs.
- Serve as an office lead for traditional athletic communication (sports information) duties and act as a direct sport/media contact for select sport(s).
- Assist with management of social media platforms and assistant with management of official athletics’ website.
- Serve as official statistician for home events. Assist with coordination of official statistical databases.
- Creation of written content in various forms.
- Manage Creative Services including photography and videography, and the PSAC Network mandates. Serve as broadcast liaison.
- Assist with and manage creation of graphic design in various forms.
- Support alumni outreach and fundraising efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in – related field - Journalism, Mass Communications/Media, Communication Studies, Marketing, Business, Visual Arts, Multimedia, Athletic/Sports Administration, and/or Sports Studies.
- Accepted into the Commonwealth University and in good academic standing.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage/prioritize multiple deadlines in fast-pace and competitive environment.
- Ability to work both independently, and collaboratively as a team.
- Preferred experience working in athletic communications with a basic knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Experience keeping statistics with STATCREW, NCAA (Genius) Live Stats, and/or related programs.
- Proficiency in, or ability to learn Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics.
- Demonstrated graphic design experience with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/InDesign and various graphic design platforms, and/or tools.
- Experience in photography and videography, and editing.
- Documented experience writing game recaps, features stories, etc.
- Broadcast and video streaming experience (Preferred: Experience with Production Truck, and/or similar tool/service).
- Demonstrated experience with social media management and strategy.
- Experience with web content management and editing (Example: SIDEARM Sports).
