MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS INTERN (DALLAS)

ABOUT THE TEXAS GOLF ASSOCIATION – The TGA is a nonprofit organization that serves as the state’s governing body for amateur golf. Founded in 1906, the TGA is dedicated to promoting the game in Texas and serving its membership of more than 600 clubs and 196,000 individual golfers. The TGA administers over 150 events and 250 days of competition each year, including men’s and women’s championships, the Legends Junior Tour, major college tournaments, member events, and USGA qualifying events.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP – This internship is designed to give experience to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration and marketing while assisting in the promotion of amateur golf and association membership, on a short-term, entry-level basis.

LOCATION OF INTERNSHIP – Reporting out of the TGA’s headquarters office in Addison, Texas (Dallas)

TERMS OF INTERNSHIP – Up to four (4) months from mid-May to mid-September 2026

RESPONSIBILITIES – The position is an internship that will provide exposure to all aspects of golf association marketing and communications. Interns will be immersed in the TGA Membership department and will assist in the areas of membership growth and retention. Duties will include assisting the TGA Marketing & Communications team in the production and delivery of marketing programs, including but not limited to paid advertising, email marketing, social media content, digital publications, website development and management, and CRM database management.

QUALIFICATIONS
College degree (completed or in process)
Golf background or strong interest in golf (preferred, but not required)
Willingness to work in fast pace and team-oriented structure
Willingness to travel within the state
Able to work outside in extreme weather and temperatures
Excellent communication skills
Experience in photography, video, and social media
A person with a strong work ethic who is self-motivated
Strong computer skills (Microsoft 365, WordPress, and HubSpot CRM preferred, but not required)
