Overview:
The Columbus Fury, a professional volleyball team in the Major League Volleyball (MLV) league, is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Match Day Interns to assist with all home matches during the 2025 season. This position offers hands-on experience in sports marketing, fan engagement, and event operations within a professional sports environment.
Commitment:
- The Fury will host 14 home matches at Nationwide Arena during the 2025 season.
- Interns must commit to working at least 10 home matches, with a preference for 12 or more.
- Match days occur primarily on weekends and occasional weeknights from January through April 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with match day setup and teardown, including signage, fan zone areas, promotional tables, and partner activations.
- Support the Marketing and Game Presentation team in executing sponsor promotions, theme night elements, and fan engagement activities.
- Help coordinate in-game activations such as contests, giveaways, and special recognitions.
- Work collaboratively with various departments (Partnerships, Community Relations, Operations, and Ticketing) to ensure smooth event execution.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with fans, partners, and staff.
- Be on time, communicative, and dependable before, during, and after each event.
- Assist with inventory and movement of supplies and promotional materials as needed (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs).
Requirements:
- Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for home matches.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs of equipment and materials.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

Additional Details:
- This is an unpaid internship; however, interns will gain valuable experience in the execution of live sporting events and receive Fury apparel for match days.
- College credit can be arranged if applicable.
