Duluth Huskies Internships:

Video Production Director Key Responsibilities:
Key member of broadcast and media operation on gamedays. In charge of all on-screen graphics for live broadcasts on FloSports for select games.
Preseason:
- Complete league mandated testing which provides the knowledge and ensures the understanding of proper use of equipment, specific shots and framing for game use.
- Timing for pregame show, graphics, commercial breaks, and postgame show.
- Hands-on training to practice correct usage of equipment and software.
- Watch all PC Director training videos provided by the webcast supervisor before the season starts.
In Season:
- Arrive 30-60 minutes at crew call
- Arrive on your scheduled days
- Communicate with supervisor
- Let supervisor know if you cant make it or if youll be late at least 8 hours prior to crew call

- Show professionalism all the time
Pre-game:
- Responsible for proper set up of broadcast streams, including graphics, commercials, and pregame shows.
- Sets-up/tearsdown video equipment before and after each home game
- Sets up each broadcast to the FloSports network
- Co-produce pregame show, assist in editing pregame show.
- Participate in pregame meetings to discuss potential improvements from previous games.
- Participate in a communications check.
- Check in with broadcast announcers to ensure sound is balanced and for any specific talking points they may need graphics for during the pregame show and during the game.
- Edit player headshot photos to league standards and upload them to the website.
Game Time:
- Ensure the pregame show starts on time.
- Start the broadcast stream on time.
- Run livestream to the best of your ability.
- Actively listen to ensure sound from the ballpark and announcers is balanced on the stream.
- Co-produce game, actively listen to directions from the camera director to ensure timing of shots and graphics is accurate.
- Put in proper graphics and run commercials at correct times.
- Show replays when appropriate.
- Pull highlights for Northwoods League, local news channels, and team use.
- Co-produce postgame show.
Post-game:
- Correctly upload all highlight clips to Dropbox to ensure that it is able to be used for future pregame shows or promotional videos.
- Properly shut down equipment so it is ready for the next person to use it.
- Participate in postgame meetings to discuss ideas and potential improvements for future games.
Throughout the Season:
- Utilize graphics from TilterLive to enhance the live broadcast both on gamedays and off days.
- Assist the rest of the broadcasting team in daily functions for team media, including but not limited to, creation of graphics for social media, creative input for other aspects of the live broadcasts, and other factors that may enhance the teams media presence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Webcast Supervisor, AGM & Owner.
Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a degree or career in graphic design, video production, communications or related field
- Knowledge of Premiere Pro
- Knowledge of Photoshop
- Ability to stay focused and attentive for the duration of the entire game
- Experience in video editing, live media graphic creation, and windows operating systems required
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Organized and have a keen eye for detail
- Basic knowledge of baseball preferred
- Must be available for ALL 36 Duluth Huskies home games and potential playoff games.
- Team-player mentality and willingness to help out with various tasks across the ballpark.
Housing: Interns are responsible for arranging and paying for their own housing. Summer housing options may be available through UWS.
