Overview
Golf House Kentucky (GHK), the Kentucky PGA (KPGA), and the Kentucky Golf Foundation (KGF) are offering an opportunity for individuals to gain valuable insight into the administrative aspect of the golf business by hiring a candidate from a historically underrepresented group to work on our team for a 12-month term.

Golf House Kentucky is the umbrella organization for Kentucky’s Family of Golf Organizations: Kentucky Golf Association, Kentucky PGA and Kentucky Golf Foundation. The vision of Kentucky’s golf leaders, Golf House Kentucky was founded in 1978, and is headquartered in a picturesque country setting in Louisville, Kentucky. Golf House Kentucky conducts competitions for golfers of all ages, gender and skill levels (amateur and professional), and provides valuable services to Kentucky PGA professionals and member golf facilities. Working in partnership with the USGA, Golf House Kentucky provides individual golfers and member golf facilities with a wide range of services: Handicapping, USGA Course and Slope Rating, award programs, club consulting and golf management software. The Kentucky Golf Foundation is the 501(c)3 charitable affiliate of Kentucky’s Family of Golf Organizations. Founded in 2002, the foundation was the vision of the Kentucky Golf Association and Kentucky PGA. Our core purpose is to impact Kentucky youth, military, and diverse populations through golf.

The Kentucky PGA (KPGA) is one of the 41 sections that comprise The PGA of America. Formed in 1925, the Kentucky PGA has a professional membership of more than 325 men and women professionals across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, each of whom is dedicated to promoting the game in Kentucky. The Kentucky PGA is dedicated to the promotion of the game of golf and providing ongoing education and professional development of Kentucky PGA Professionals. Kentucky PGA Professionals are responsible for conducting a variety of golf-related functions, which include general management, golf instruction, tournament operations, golf shop merchandising, junior golf programs, golf club repair, and much more.

Experience Required
● Undergraduate degree
● Willingness to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented structure
● Willing to travel throughout Kentucky and flexibility for work schedule (including weekends and nights)
● Able to work outside in extreme weather and temperatures
● Well organized, punctual, energetic
● A strong work ethic and self-motivated
● Strong computer skills, including Google Suite, MS Office, and Internet
● Valid driver’s license and own vehicle, though GHK does have a company vehicle
Essential Responsibilities
The primary focus of this position will be to assist Golf House Kentucky in executing Kentucky PGA and Kentucky Golf Foundation programs in the Youth, Military and Diversity & Inclusion pillars. Program examples include:

● YOUTH Pillar | Youth on Course
● YOUTH Pillar | Drive, Chip & Putt
● DIVERSITY & INCLUSION Pillar | PGA WORKS
PGA WORKS Fellowship duties include but are not limited to:
● Assisting Golf House Kentucky with all aspects of the Kentucky Golf Foundation programming including communications logistics, site and member recruitment, promotions, scheduling, sponsor activation, budgeting, billing, and event execution.
● Assisting the fundraising efforts of the KGF, including but not limited to; Online Charity Auction, Youth on Course Pro-Am, PGA HOPE fundraising events, and an annual fundraising campaign.
● Assist with Kentucky PGA programming and operations including: communications with PGA Professionals and military services centers, tracking and reporting, veteran volunteer program, and marketing/PR.
● Assist with the recruitment of PGA Members for and promotion of PGA Jr. League.
● Assist with the setup, execution, and management of PGA Drive Chip & Putt Qualifiers.
● Assist with KGF marketing, communications and PR including: website updates, social media, creative marketing,
email communications, and creation of the KGF Annual Report.
● Collaborate with KGF and PGA WORKS (national) in the awareness of the PGA WORKS Fellowship to help attract new candidates for Kentucky PGA WORKS Fellowship.
