In 1996, Major Leaguers created the Major League Baseball Players Trust as a vehicle to channel their collective voices to raise awareness and provide funds for important causes around the world. In the last 25 years, Major League Players have increased the scope to support causes important to them and has supported a wide range of organizations and programs granting tens of millions of dollars.
The mission of the Trust is to engage, equip, and empower the next generation of kids and aspiring baseball and softball players, which includes programming that focuses on education, mentorship, and skills development. It also supports charitable causes and philanthropic endeavors of personal importance to individual players and the membership as a whole, including helping the communities most important to players.
Position Overview:
The Players Trust Intern will gain valuable insight into the management of a non-profit organization that is uniquely associated with a union that represents the Major League and Minor League Players employed by the 30 Major League baseball teams. The intern will assist in various administrative activities at the Players Trust, gaining valuable insight into the management of a non-profit organization. The intern will support the Executive Director, Director of Programs, and the overall Players Trust team on various activities relating to programming, community engagement, Player research, marketing, and data entry and reporting. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to accompany Players Trust staff in select meetings across the MLB Players Association.

Reports to: Manager, Advancement Operations
Location: Hybrid - Must be able to come into the office 3 days a week.
Salary: $20.00 per hour (BA Student), $30.00 per hour (MBA Student)
Internship Length: 3 months
