- Position Summary
The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated and customer service-oriented individual for the position of Recreation Programs Intern - Summer Seasonal. Individuals in this position are responsible for assisting with program coordination, organization and set-up of summer outdoor programs, and trail running races. Additionally, they are responsible for assisting with youth programs such as the Breckenridge Mountain Summer Camp, sports camps and pre-school camps. The position will provide the intern with on the job experience while at the same time meeting academic internship requirements for the respective college/university.

- Qualifications
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must currently be enrolled in a degree program with a college or university that requires an internship.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES REQUIRED:
A valid Colorado driver's license with an acceptable MVR check is required, or must be obtained within the first five (5) days of employment.
Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants with previous experience in parks and recreation related field preferred.
Applicants with previous customer service experience preferred.
Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Parks & Recreation, Sports Management, Kinesiology, Outdoor Recreation/Education or other closely related field.

Hiring Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.25 per hour.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Qualified applicants must be able to work shifts including various hours (varies depending on programs, events and projects) from late May to late August for up to a maximum of 500 hours and may be scheduled for up to 40 hours per week or based on management discretion. Incumbents in this position may be required to work shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed during their seasonal employment.
