Reds Community Fund Marketing & Social Media Intern

Department: Reds Community Fund (RCF)
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio       
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt


Job Summary:Support the Reds Community Fund (RCF) with a variety of duties and responsibilities, such as marketing the RCF’s outreach and fundraising events. Employees are expected to follow all Cincinnati Reds policies and procedures, serve as positive role models, and manage their workload effectively. This includes demonstrating flexibility, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and meeting departmental productivity standards.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or working towards a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.
Skills
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team.
  • Detail oriented, deadline driven and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.


 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current college student or recent graduate.
Experience
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and photo editing/clipping experience a plus.
Skills
  • Prior work experience in at least one business setting and one sports setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Duty% of Time
Work as part of the RCF social media team to develop and post content that maximizes engagement and amplifies the community fund objectives. Write entertaining, accurate social media copy and interact with our audience in an authentic voice.45%
Provide support for day-to-day marketing activities and campaign execution.25%
Help staff RCF events at the ballpark and off-site locations, including the Reds Youth Academy.15%
Provide support for major fundraising events on event day.10%
Other duties as assigned5%

             Reporting Structure:This role reports directly to Development and Marketing Manager
 Schedule:

  • March 2026 – September 2026
  • Approximately 20 hours per week; some night/weekend hours will be required, including games.
     

Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal opportunity, and no benefits will be provided
  • Seasonal staff members are paid $12.00/hour

 Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Light lifting/carrying to assist with event preparation
  • May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
