Job Summary:This position provides PC hardware and software support to the entire organization, including end-user assistance for both PC and Mac computers. This role also requires the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technology solutions.

Employees are expected to follow all Cincinnati Reds policies and procedures, serve as positive role models, and manage their workload effectively. This includes demonstrating flexibility, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and meeting departmental productivity standards.

Education
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Technology or a related field required
Experience
  • Knowledge of Windows, Office, Mac OS, Networking, TCP/IP, Basic Hardware, Basic wiring, printer, laptop, and desktop troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of imaging computers and loading and troubleshooting software conflicts
Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good oral communication and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with management and staff


 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
    • Relevant technical certifications or training (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are a plus.
Experience
  • Prior experience providing IT or technical support in live event, sports, entertainment, or stadium environments.
    • Experience supporting point-of-sale (POS) systems, ticketing platforms, or audiovisual systems.
    • Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues in fast-paced settings.
Skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
    • Basic understanding of networking, Wi-Fi connectivity, and device configuration.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
    • Comfort working with mobile devices, tablets, printers, scanners, and PCs.
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the game schedule.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary contact for troubleshooting PC hardware, printers, and software malfunctions and connectivity40%

Perform game day technical tasks (Wi-Fi, ticket scanners, computers, iPad, audio video setup)15%

             Reporting Structure:This role reports directly to SVP of Technology 
 Additional Information:

  • Overtime hours may be required
  • Weekend work may be sometimes required
  • This is a seasonal, internship opportunity and no benefits will be provided

 Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds from the floor to desktop height
  • Inside work with no exposure to weather conditions
  • Use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
