Interns will play a key role in the daily maintenance and presentation of a newly constructed, 36-hole golf facility. Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and First Assistant, 2nd Assistants and Spray Techs. This position assists in planning, supervising, and executing all aspects of turfgrass maintenance while helping establish long-term standards and procedures for a new property. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a motivated professional seeking growth in a progressive, high-profile operation. Luling is one of the most recent golf projects in the state of Texas and is aiming to join an elite group of the top-level clubs in the world. This unique property boasts a Kyle Franz designed masterpiece that fits perfectly into the south Texas landscape, as well as the OCM designed Course 2 links style course that bring Scottish golf to Texas. Luling is extremely invested in being on the cutting edge of the turf industry and this job will allow you to perfect your skills with all of the newest technology available to the industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily maintenance of all playing surfaces, including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and native areas

Assist with all cultural, chemical, and fertilization practices

Help develop and implement maintenance programs for a new golf course, including mowing schedules, cultural practices, and detail work

Assist with chemical and fertilizer applications; calibrate and operate application equipment safely and accurately

Monitor turf conditions and report issues related to disease, pests, moisture, and stress

Participate in irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repair

Assist with course setup and presentation standards for daily play and tournaments

Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Maintain accurate records related to chemical usage, labor, and equipment

Perform other duties as assigned to support the golf course maintenance operation

Currently Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year Turf Management or certificate program Plenty of OT available
