The Social Media intern is a seasonal, full-time internship that will serve to aid the efforts of Social Media, Marketing and Community Relations. The individual must be versatile, friendly, positive, motivated, and excited to represent the Johnson City Doughboys out in the community and at the ballpark. This person must be willing to help out within other departments when necessary and is not afraid to speak/perform in front of clients, sponsors and crowds, and most of all have FUN!

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following: 
  • Handling of all social media content, creation, and posting
  • Photography & Videography skills
  • Management of players photos/videos 
  • Creating various graphics and videos as needed 
  • Continuously work to build the Johnson City Doughboys brand and reputation in the community through relations building, speaking engagements, chamber and community events, appearances, etc. 
  • Be engaged in numerous community events 
  • Help/Attend mascots for community and promotion appearances 
  • Work with the General Manager for player community appearances 
  • Attend all community events for the Johnson City Doughboys 
  • Assist with all in-game promotions including on-field games, crowd MC, mascots, National Anthems, first pitches, fireworks, etc.
  • Assist with making sure all promotional materials and props for contests and games are in place and ready to go for game time, including all prizes from sponsors 
  • Assist in organizing and being a part of planning for giveaways, scheduling talent, organizing theme nights, and working closely with promotions, ticket sales, and corporate sales to execute theme nights 
  • Willingness to step out of your comfort zone, an eagerness to try new things, and assist in all aspects of the operation of the Doughboys organization
  • Other duties as assigned.
