Girls Soccer Network is seeking a talented student editor to create short-form social video and story-driven content across Instagram, TikTok, and digital platforms. This is a paid or for-credit opportunity for a film, media, or production student who loves storytelling and wants real-world experience editing content seen by a national sports audience.

You’ll work directly with our content team to turn interviews, podcast footage, and soccer stories into engaging short-form videos and branded social content.

This role is ideal for a film or media student who enjoys fast-paced storytelling, short-form editing, and sports culture — especially women’s soccer.


What You’ll Work On

• Editing Instagram Reels and short-form social videos
• Creating branded short-form story content
• Cutting podcast episodes for video and social clips
• Pulling highlight moments from interviews and conversations
• Adding captions, pacing, music, and platform-native edits
• Preparing social-ready exports in multiple formats


Ideal Candidate

• Film, media, or production student (or recent grad)
• Strong interest in storytelling through editing
• Experience editing short-form video
• Comfortable editing dialogue-driven content
• Understands pacing for social platforms
• Reliable and deadline-oriented
• Passion for sports — women’s soccer a strong plus


Technical Skills Required

• Adobe Premiere Pro
• CapCut
• Canva
• Short-form editing for Reels / TikTok
• Captioning and subtitle workflows


Bonus Points

• You are a current or former soccer player
• You enjoy sports storytelling
• You’ve edited interviews or podcasts before
• You can show short-form or social video samples
