The James Hardie™ Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational takes place March 1-7, 2027, at the Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton, Fla. The tournament, which will be televised on the Golf Channel, will feature a field of 78 PGA TOUR Champions professionals competing for a purse of $2.2 million dollars. Playing alongside the Champions Tour players will be 26 football legends, who will tee it up on Friday and Saturday of the event. Benefitting the Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County, and The First Tee Florida Gold Coast, the James Hardie™ Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational will be managed by Pro Links Sports, a nationally recognized sports marketing and event management firm that assists in running several PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions tournaments. Position Summary: 
This internship will focus on delivering a world-class experience across all activations and key tournament partners. This candidate will work behind the scenes and must be able to work well under pressure, in a team environment, be keen to details, and seek gaining exposure to the PGA TOUR and entertainment industry. 
Position Details:
  • Support the planning and execution of key tournament special events, including the Pro-Am, Draft Party, Women’s Day, Legends Shootout, Folds of Honor, First Tee Clinic, and other tournament related events
  • Assist with Pro-Am administrative tasks such as assembling credential packets, shipping, and communication to partners
  • Provide on-site event support at all key tournament special events
  • Assist in developing and maintaining event budgets and P&Ls, tracking projected and actual revenue and expenses for key events
  • Assist with the creation and management of event timelines and detailed run of shows to ensure all event elements are properly coordinated
  • Communicate and coordinate with vendors regarding event needs, timelines, deliverables, set up requirements and other logistical details
  • Oversee and manage the Honorary Observer Program, including participant communication, registration, and on-site execution
  • Maintain and update the Trust Event Solutions tournament database
  • Assist in producing tournament-related materials such as scorecards, signage, sponsor logos, event collateral, and other printed or digital assets
  • Capture event moments through photography and videography as needed
  • Assist with post-event reconciliation and wrap-up including organizing final expenses, updating P&Ls, and documenting notes and recommendations for future events
Qualified Applicants Must Have:
  • A desire to gain experience in a professional sports and entertainment environment 
  • Strong communication skills and desire to work well with others in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings, long hours, and weekends
  • Great attitude, work ethic, and enthusiasm for learning at all levels
  • Full availability during advance and tournament week (February 22 – March 8)
  • Internships will run from January 6 – March 12, 2027
 
Eligibility 
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at the time of application and throughout internship period while receiving academic credit
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program or be a recent graduate at the time of application. Academic credit is optional
  • Applicants should reside near Boca Raton or be willing to commute to Boca Raton
